As well as the Creative Cluster Initiative, we recently received wonderful news from Navan
Education Centre that, we have once again been given the funding through the BLAST
programme. The aim of this scheme, which is funded by the Department of Education, is to
give students in schools all over the country the opportunity to work with a professional
artist on unique projects. We are luckily enough this year to be paired with film maker Siun
O’Connor. Siun will begin her 7-week residency with us in January when she will work once a
week with 4th & 5th Class. It is another very exciting project for our pupils.
